In 2010, nine Regional Skills Canada Competitions will take place in Alberta for high school students. Skills Canada Alberta is proud to partner with local organizations and technical institutes across Alberta to host the regional competitions.

*Important change in Regional Skills Canada Competitions: In 2010, to compete at the Provincial Skills Competition in Auto Service, Carpentry, Culinary Arts and Welding students must qualify at a Regional Skills Canada Competition. In all other events the top performers at Regional Skills Canada Competitions will automatically earn a spot to compete at the Provincial Skills Competition.

The result is increased recognition, at a local level, for the tremendous skills being developed in Alberta’s high schools and in partnership with local employers.
