Skills Canada Alberta is proud to host Alberta's premier showcase of trade and technology talent at the 16th Annual Provincial Skills Competition.

With the support of hundreds of teachers, industry contacts and government partners 550 Alberta students will showcase their skills in an experience of a lifetime. Thousands more will attend the event to gain inspiration and information. Visit the scopes page for a full list of secondary events.

To compete at the Provincial Skills Competition in welding, high school students must qualify at a Regional Skills Canada Competition.

Gold medalists at the Provincial Skills Competition (PSC) are rewarded with selection to Team Alberta and an opportunity to showcase their skills at the Canadian Skills Competition, which will be held following the PSC in Calgary on May 26-27, 2008. Students must be present at the PSC Awards Ceremony to claim their spot on Team Alberta.
