Skills Canada Alberta Competitions challenge high school and post-secondary students to reach for their personal best in a
variety of trade and technology competitions.
We bring together experts from industry and education to create innovative challenges that will test your skills,
and connect you with likeminded students and mentors who have a passion for excellence.
Competing in a Skills Canada Competition shows current and future employers that you are up for a challenge, and are worth investing
in because you are committed to investing in yourself.
HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS
High school students (secondary students) are registered by their teachers for Regional or Provincial Skills Canada Competitions. Some
competition areas have Regional Competitions that qualify them for Provincials, and other areas enter directly at the Provincial level.
POST-SECONDARY STUDENTS
Post-secondary students, including apprentices, are selected by Alberta Apprenticeship and Industry Training or are selected
by their technical institute or college for the Provincial Skills Canada Competition (PSCC).
Every fall post-secondary students may apply online to be considered for the upcoming PSCC. SCA highly encourages Competitors from previous years
to apply online as we value your past experience. The application deadline has closed for the 2010 PSCC. Check back on July 5, 2010 to apply for the 2011 PSCC.
